We are assembling our lanterns and you will get to see them at the Poetry Café. They look great! Hi everyone, I am looking for the following things for our Poetry Cafe: - parent volunteers to bake some healthy treats for our poetry night on Tuesday, June 16th at 5pm - a couple of parents to help me set up the cafe after school on Tuesday, June 16th - some black table cloths or fabric. Does anyone have anything like this we could borrow for the night? - some mason jars to serve as "candle" holders at our cafe If you are able to volunteer or have any of the items above, please e-mail me at [email protected] Math: We are still working on our Playground Project. Today students took the survey results that they collected and made bar graphs in their groups. We will need some large cardboard boxes this week as we start constructing our playground models. If you have any that you are able to donate, please send them to school with your child tomorrow. Language Arts:
We are finishing up our last 2 poems and practicing reading poetry in front of the class in preparation for our Poetry Cafe. Ms. Draganov Welcome to June! It is hard to believe there are only four weeks of school left! Here is what happened today in Ms. Draganov's classes: Language Arts: Students started a new poem writing activity. They had to choose 7 random words from a box and then pick 5 to include in a poem that they are writing with a partner. They are really learning to work together and be creative through this process! Math:
Students continued working on their Minecraft characters. Some have already finished calculating the area and perimeter. Tonight's homework is to finish the 2nd column of the area and perimeter worksheet and to complete the drawing of their character. |
