It was a fun day in the Draganzini classroom! A couple of weeks ago we received a huge book order for our classroom and today we were finally able to read and enjoy them! Kids made a wish list of titles they wanted and we were able to get most of them for our classroom library :-) We are still waiting on a few more books and those will be trickling in in the coming weeks. Thanks everyone for taking such good care of our new books today!
Language Arts:
We are working on our poetry unit. Today students wrote good copies of their first poem. Those who are not finished have it for homework (due tomorrow).
Art:
We have been talking about surrealism and Salvador Dali. We are making Dali-inspired art. It looks awesome so far!
Math:
We are continuing with fractions. Today we worked on ordering fractions from greatest to least and talked more about equivalent fractions (ask your child what this means)!
Grade 4 - p. 217/218 (#1-6)
